Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our dynamic team committed to transforming lives through behavioral health and developmental support. As an RBT, you will work directly with child with autism, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Responsibilities
- Implement evidence-based behavioral therapy techniques, including applied behavior analysis (ABA), to support clients’ developmental goals.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as dressing, grooming, feeding, and hygiene, promoting independence.
- Collect accurate data on client behaviors and progress to inform treatment plans and ensure consistent implementation of interventions.
- Support clients during teaching sessions by reinforcing skills in communication, social interactions, and adaptive behaviors.
- Maintain detailed medical documentation, care plans, and behavioral records in compliance with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and accuracy.
- Collaborate closely with BCBA supervisors, families, teachers, and caregivers to ensure cohesive support strategies tailored to each individual’s needs.
- Foster a positive environment that encourages client engagement, patience, and motivation while managing challenging behaviors effectively.
Skills
- Strong understanding of behavioral therapy principles and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
- Excellent teaching skills with the ability to adapt strategies for diverse learning styles.
- Proficient in data collection methods and maintaining precise medical records.
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to behavioral health and special education settings.
- Ability to follow care plans meticulously while demonstrating patience and compassion.
- Familiarity with HIPAA guidelines ensuring confidentiality of all medical documentation and client information. Join us in making a difference!
