Therapist/ Counselor

MARRA Therapy is a multi-niche boutique psychotherapy practice in Chicago, serving adults and couples who are ready to do meaningful, depth-oriented work. Our mission is to make therapy more accessible while elevating the overall experience—for both clients and clinicians. https://marratherapy.com

We are a highly collaborative, anti-racist, anti-oppressive practice that believes excellent therapy does not happen in isolation. We invest heavily in our clinicians so they can focus on what they do best: thoughtful, ethical, impactful clinical work—while we take care of the rest.

Who We’re Looking For

We are actively seeking for a licensed clinicians LMFT, (LCPC, LCSW, PsyD, or PhD) who is especially drawn to:

  • Couples work (experience preferred; strong interest required)
  • Working with Dependency
  • Trauma-informed treatment, with existing training or certification in one or more trauma modalities, such as:
  • EMDR
  • Brainspotting
  • Somatic or other evidence-based trauma approaches
  • Clinicians who value collaboration, consultation, and being part of a team
  • Must be fully licensed.
  • Have at least one niche market for counseling services (i.e., addictions, trauma, anxiety, grief, anger management, sex therapy, couples etc.).

If you’re someone who wants to grow your couples or trauma caseload within a supportive ecosystem, rather than building everything alone, this role was designed for you.

We strongly encourage applications from BIPOC clinicians, LGBTQ+ clinicians, therapists of all ages, and those with non-traditional clinical paths.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide individual therapy and couples therapy (family work as appropriate)
  • Carry a full-time caseload of approximately 25 sessions per week (100/month) or part time caseload of approximately 18 sessions per week ( 72 sessions/month).
  • Conduct thorough assessments, determine outpatient fit, and establish treatment plans
  • Deliver trauma-informed care within your scope of training
  • Maintain timely, ethical clinical documentation
  • Provide crisis intervention and risk assessment when clinically indicated
  • Maintain consistent scheduling with active clients
  • Participate in consultation and/or supervision

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Be available for client sessions work (2) evenings per week or one evening and one weekend (5 hours) per week.
  • Attend occasional mandatory staff meetings.

  • Comprehensive benefits: Medical, dental, and vision
  • Paid time off, including paid floating holidays
  • Paid sick leave (accrued)

  • Flexible scheduling with hybrid / work-from-home options
  • Beautiful office where you feel proud to see clients
