Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated, energetic, and compassionate individuals to join our team as Entry-Level Behavior Technicians at our beautiful Chesapeake clinic. This newly developed program was created to provide expanded opportunities for candidates who are passionate about entering this highly rewarding field, even if they do not yet have relevant experience.
In this role, you will complete our comprehensive training program before working one-on-one with children to implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). You will also receive the support and resources needed to prepare for and sit for your Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification and we will pay for it as long as you pass! You will also receive a $300 stipend for you training time!
Duties
- Implement individualized treatment plans under the guidance of a BCBA in a clinic setting.
- Collect and record data on client progress and behaviors (includes written session notes in English)
- Provide direct patient care, assisting clients in daily activities and promoting positive behavior changes.
- Communicating effectively with families, educators, and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to care.
- Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in behavioral health and special education.
Requirements
- Minimum of two years of college from an accredited institution (relevant experience may be considered in lieu of college).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Must obtain RBT Certification through the BACB with 60 days of hire to be considered for permanent employment
- Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine desire to work with children
- Reliable transportation and punctuality
- Current Auto Insurance policy
- Current BLS/First Aid certification or equivalent.
- Must be physically able to sit on floor and stand quickly and lift up to 25lbs
- Ability to pass background check
- Complete various training
- Must be proficient in both spoken and written English
- Must have the legal right to work in the United States, either as a U.S. citizen or through a valid visa or work permit
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities
- Coursework in psychology, education, or a related field
