Overview:
Join our team as a dedicated Behavior Technician committed to making a difference. As a Behavior Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals with autism spectrum disorder by implementing behavior intervention plans and fostering skill development in the home and community.
Duties:
- Collaborate closely with Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to execute behavior intervention plans effectively.
- Assist in teaching language, social skills, and daily living activities.
- Conduct thorough data collection on client behaviors during sessions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of session notes and progress reports.
Qualifications:
- Must complete training, competency assessment, and test to become a Registered Behavior Technician with the BACB within 60 days of hire.
- Prior experience working with children with autism spectrum disorder.
- Capable of lifting up to 40 lbs and transitioning between sitting and standing positions comfortably.
Location:
- Client sessions are held in-home at various locations including Chatham, Springfield, Rochester & New Berlin Illinois.
- Assignments and pairings are flexible based on proximity for efficient travel arrangements.
