The SFCS supports the mission of Hellenic College Holy Cross by nurturing the spiritual and psychological well-being and
development of all students and their families, working in conjunction with the faculty, alumni, and the Greek Orthodox
Archdiocese. These programs are available to all students and family members.
Summary of Position:
Hellenic College Holy Cross seeks a part-time counselor to assist students with advancing their personal, academic, and
emotional development. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, a solid understanding of college-age
development and mental health, and experience working with a diverse population, including students with learning
challenges.
This is a part-time, 9-month hourly position, up to 15 hours per week, that follows the academic calendar, starting late
August and ending in May. Time off is during winter and spring breaks. Hours may include early evening hours and
occasional weekends.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide solution-focused individual counseling and group support
- Provide student intakes/screenings, crisis intervention, and assessment
- Follow through with record keeping and case management
- Outreach to the student population through educational programming and workshops
- Engage in weekly team meetings
- Other duties as assigned
Education & Experience: Candidates must hold a minimum of a master’s degree in counseling, social work, or another mental health
- A minimum of three years of clinical experience, preferably working in a college counseling center or related
- Experience working with a diverse population, including students with learning challenges.
- Ability to understand and identify with the teachings and values of the Orthodox Christian Faith.
