Experteer Overview In this role, you drive the governance and operation of a decentralized Vet Centers network within RCS District 1. You will align policy, staffing, and funding with VA and RCS guidance to deliver high-quality readjustment counseling across diverse veteran communities. You lead a management team, shape long-term plans, and ensure program goals are met through effective resource use and performance measurement. You will work closely with cross-functional partners to implement strategic initiatives and respond to evolving needs. This position offers the opportunity to influence veteran services at scale and support mission-critical outcomes. Compensation / Benefits • Formulate and implement major operating policies for decentralized readjustment counseling delivery • Develop annual business plans including staffing, funding, and facility considerations • Allocate resources and manage budgets to support ongoing initiatives • Communicate strategy and vision aligned with district and national policy • Drive quality of readjustment counseling services and client satisfaction through metrics • Build and mentor a Vet Center management team and center leadership • Ensure program goals are achieved via structure, HR policies, and partnerships • Promote employee training, development, mentoring, and succession planning • Foster efficient operations and adaptive management to organizational change Tasks • US citizenship • Master in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CACREP-accredited) or equivalent; and licensure to practice independently as an LPMHC • Full, current license to independently practice as an LPMHC (or a VA-supervised arrangement if not yet licensed) • Proficient in written and spoken English • 1+ year of progressively complex experience equivalent to GS-13 (administration of multidisciplinary mental health programs) desired • willingness to travel at least 50% of the time • Experience in strategic planning, program operations, policy development, data analysis, and project implementation preferred Key requirements •
