Associate Clinician/Therapist - AMFT

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Associate Marriage and Family Therapist to join our team at Hernandez Family Counseling Center in Riverside, CA. In this role, you will have the opportunity to grow your clinical skills, build a caseload, and contribute to our mission of providing high-quality mental health services to our community. Your clients will come from school settings, the community at large and from insurance referrals. You will have a wide range of clinical opportunities to provide individual therapy for all ages, couples counseling, family counseling, and any groups that you would like to provide based on community needs and your areas of passion and expertise or desired area of growth.

You will have the option of performing therapy in-person or remotely. We have office space available to you for in-person sessions. We require that all children be seen in person. This is a private practice setting with a family feel where you will have the opportunity for growth and mentorship and an opportunity to continue with the practice as a licensed clinician once you have completed your 3,000 hours of training and passed the necessary exams for licensure.

Compensation: $35 per hour + based on clinical expertise

Job Description:

As an Associate Clinical Therapist, you will work closely with our experienced team at Hernandez Family Counseling Center to develop your clinical expertise and establish a thriving caseload. We already have a waiting list ready to begin establishing your caseload. Our goal is to support your professional growth and help you reach your full potential as a therapist.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide quality therapy based on empathy, compassion, and understanding.
Participate in weekly supervision and training sessions to enhance your clinical knowledge.
Communicate effectively with our admin to schedule and coordinate clientele.
Engage in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.

Qualifications:

• Master's Degree
• Current California registration as an AMFT with an active associate number.
• Strong desire to develop clinical skills and establish a thriving caseload.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
