Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide in-home behavioral therapy and support for individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism. This role involves working with clients during evening hours and assisting with office administration tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience in applied behavior analysis, behavior management, and working with children or individuals with special needs. The position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in clients' lives while supporting their growth and development through evidence-based practices.
Responsibilities
- Deliver individualized behavioral therapy sessions in clients' homes during evening hours, following established care plans and treatment protocols
- Collect and analyze data on client progress to inform treatment adjustments
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and promote independence through teaching and support
- Implement behavior management strategies to reduce challenging behaviors and reinforce positive behaviors
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, behavioral records, and progress notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with supervisors, families, and team members to develop and update care plans tailored to each client's needs
- Support clients in developing communication, social, and life skills using applied behavior analysis techniques
- Perform administrative tasks related to office management, including scheduling appointments, maintaining client records, and ensuring confidentiality of medical information
- Uphold professional standards of patient care, respecting client privacy and adhering to all safety protocols
Requirements
- Valid certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or eligibility to obtain certification prior to start date
- Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, especially autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management strategies, and data collection methods
- Familiarity with special education principles, patient care practices, medical terminology, and medical documentation procedures
- Ability to assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and support clients in achieving their personal goals
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations concerning medical records and confidentiality
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with families, team members, and other professionals
- Compassionate attitude with patience for working with diverse populations requiring behavioral health support
