Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Behavior Technician to join our team. In this vital role, you will work directly with children diagnosed with autism and other developmental disabilities, implementing evidence-based behavioral interventions under supervision. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families while gaining valuable experience in behavioral health and special education.
BEHAVIOR TECHNICIAN:
This is a hands-on position teaching verbal behavior, social, and educational skills to children and young adults with autism and related disabilities. We are looking for fun, energetic candidates who are willing to go on outings to provide support to our kiddos, as well as provide support at their school and homes. We provide 4 – 6 weeks of extensive virtual and hands-on training by highly skilled clinicians to ensure competence and confidence.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized treatment plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles to promote skill development and reduce challenging behaviors.
- Collect and record data meticulously during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform ongoing treatment adjustments.
- Support children with autism and other developmental disabilities in various settings, including home, school, or clinical environments.
- Assist in conducting behavioral assessments and contribute to the development of intervention strategies.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient confidentiality and managing medical documentation accurately.
- Collaborate with supervisors, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure consistency and effectiveness of interventions.
- Participate in ongoing training sessions to enhance your skills in behavioral therapy, medical terminology, and patient care.
- This position requires face-to-face interaction in the individual’s home and/or school.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
