The Registered Behavior Technician is involved in the implementation of ABA interventions with individuals to produce socially significant outcomes. This position is responsible for delivering, performing and practicing professional work related to behavior analysis under the direction and close supervision of a Behavior Analyst. This role includes applying professional training to implement appropriate evidence-based behavioral management strategies tailored to each client, to achieve the most beneficial outcome, by decreasing challenging behaviors and learning independent skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 direct services to clients.
  • Conduct direct observations of individuals in their living, educational, and community environments and keep the Supervisor informed of any changes relevant to treatment.
  • Collect baseline and intervention data for Supervisors to evaluate outcomes.
  • Implement behavior intervention and therapy skill acquisition programming as instructed by the Supervisors.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary and/or care review meetings at which behavioral treatment programs are reviewed.
  • Work with Program Managers and Clinical Supervisors to ensure child’s progress, parental support and participation.
  • Follow company policies and meet company deadlines.
  • Ensure requirements for documentation of services are implemented.

Qualifications:
Experience: At least six months of experience working with persons with Developmental Disabilities.

Education: Possesses an Associate’s Degree in either human, social, or educational services discipline, or a degree or certification related to behavior management, from an accredited community college or educational institution.

Certifications: RBT Certification required.

Skills and Abilities: Outstanding social skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, analytical abilities, training or coursework in developmental disabilities, knowledge of HIPPA and ABA field regulations, ability to handle multiple activities at the same time, working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to work effectively with consumers, families, caregivers and support coordinators. Ability to show flexibility to fit a variety of sensitive situations. Ability to display judgment based on data/evidence in the decision-making and problem-solving scenarios.
