Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavior Technician (BT) to join our team in a home-based ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) setting. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about behavioral health, working with children, and supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism. The Behavior Technician will play a vital role in implementing individualized treatment plans, collecting data, and providing patient-centered care to promote positive behavioral outcomes. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in clients' lives while gaining valuable experience in behavioral therapy and special education.
Responsibilities
- Implement evidence-based ABA interventions tailored to each client's treatment plan under supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Collect accurate and detailed data on client behaviors, progress, and responses during therapy sessions.
- Assist with patient assessments, including intake procedures and diagnostic evaluations.
- Support clients with developmental disabilities, including autism, by facilitating skill acquisition and behavior reduction strategies.
- Maintain thorough and confidential medical documentation, records, and reports in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with families and caregivers to ensure consistency of care across settings.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and ethical guidelines related to behavioral health and patient care.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to enhance therapeutic skills.
Skills
- Experience with behavioral therapy techniques, especially Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
- Prior work with children or individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder.
- Strong data collection skills for tracking client progress accurately.
- Knowledge of special education principles and patient assessment methods.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical documentation, and HIPAA compliance.
- Excellent communication skills for working effectively with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to patient care and behavioral health.
- Ability to work independently in a home-based setting while following structured protocols. Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
