Recreation Therapist $70 HR / 1099 Contract

Best Nest Management is seeking Full-Time Recreation Therapists to work a 6-month assignment at a Correctional Facility in CALIFORNIA, with a high possibility of extension or permanent employment.

Hourly Rate:

• $70 HR / 1099 Contractor / Bi-weekly Pay

Locations:

• Lancaster, CA ( Mon-Thurs 7 am-5:30 pm or M-F 8 am-4:30 pm)

Requirements for a Recreation Therapist:

• 1-year experience as a Recreation Therapist
• Active CTRS, NCTRC or CBRPC Certification/License REQUIRED
• BLS from (The American Heart Association)

Job Duties for Recreation Therapist:

• Develop and implement specialized recreation therapy services to CDCR Patient-Inmates
• Participate in the Interdisciplinary Treatment Team (IDTT)
• Evaluate recreation therapy needs for patients and inmates with particular attention to activities of daily living, communication skills, physical exercise, and positive coping strategies.
• Other duties, as assigned by the Institution.
