- Master's degree in Social Work.
- Three years post-master's direct clinical social work experience.
- Well developed critical thinking skills. Basic knowledge and understanding of medical terminology. Ability to communicate effectively with medical professionals of all disciplines. Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Multi-tasking and task management essential. Basic computer knowledge.
- Training and experience must be in the scope of practice of the clinical specialty area of children, adolescent and/or adult patients, as well as family intervention.
- Proven mastery of advanced sociological, psychological, and mental health care related interventions and issues. Works autonomously, sets priorities and makes independent decisions of a complex nature. Demonstrates effective listening and comprehension skills. Initiates collaboration with others outside of service area.
- Demonstrates personal commitment to the principles, values and ethics of the organization.
- Models accountability for learning by sharing knowledge and learning from others. Builds effective working relationships. Expresses appreciation to others for their work. Treats others with respect.
- NYS LMSW license. Must maintain a collaborative agreement with a licensed physician in the field of practice of the Psychiatry with an active license in the State of New York.
