CCLI is looking for a full time Case Manager/Employment Counselor with a generous heart and a desire to contribute to the well-being of others to carry out our mission on Long Island. By joining our team, you will share in the joy of providing “care with dignity and life with hope.”
Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial intakes and assessments of clients and/or families, including evaluating medical history, skills, work experience, employability, interests, and support service needs.
- Work with governmental agencies to assist clients in obtaining healthcare and social services.
- Collect, prepare, and submit all required program documentation regarding client outcomes and contract compliance.
- Monitor client progress toward goals and document progress through the retention period.
- Collaborate with clients to prepare Individual Employment Plans (IEPs), outlining employment goals, interim steps, and needed services.
- Assist refugees with securing and retaining employment.
- Collect documents and complete intake forms using the Immigration Case Management system.
- After required training, assist clients with immigration forms under the supervision of DOJ Accredited Representatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (B.A., B.S.W.) preferred; a combination of education, post-bachelor coursework (minimum one year), and/relevant work or volunteer experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Social Worker background preferred.
- Should have at least 2 yrs. experience in human services field preferred.
- Knowledge and an understanding of human rights of refugees, immigrants, asylum seekers and victims of human trafficking helpful.
- Bilingual Spanish/English, French/French Creole/English, Urdu/English or Dari/English.
- May be required to work different work schedules for program needs, evenings and/or weekends
- Valid and clean NYS driver’s license, insurance and personal transportation. Travel required.
Schedule: Full time, 35 hours a week
Rate of Pay: $52,000 annual
This program is grant funded from 1/1/26 through 12/31/26
This rate of pay serves as a good faith estimate. Actual pay is based on a number of factors which may include a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience and work location.
