School Based Satellite Clinic Full-Time Social Worker

IDCC is a licensed out-patient Mental Health Organization under Article 31 of the Mental Health Law. Interborough has 5 licensed clinics in Flatbush, Crown Heights, Williamsburg, Canarsie and Coney Island, as well as licensed school based clinics located in Bedford Stuyvesant, Canarsie, Crown Heights, and downtown Brooklyn that serve over 20 schools. There are an additional 21 schools that are served by the expansion of school clinics as well as other School Programs undertaken by IDCC to support the students, staff and parents for a total over 43 schools.

Interborough is seeking one Full-time LMSW (Master Social Worker) to work in a 3 public schools in Brooklyn. The schools are near each other. The selected candidates will provide:

• Assessments and weekly individual therapy
• Collateral work with parents
• Will work closely with teachers, school administration and other school personnel.
• Individual supervision is provided in a weekly basis.

The individual selected must:

• Recent graduate are encourage to apply -Weekly supervision is provided.
• LANGUAGES:
• SPANISHSPEAKING - Preferred
• Be experienced working with children and adolescent helpful
• Experience in schools a plus
• Have excellent communication skills
• Be able to address clinical documentation including progress notes, treatment plans as well as issues related to engagement and discharge

Qualification:

• Must have LMSW or LMHC
