Behavior Technician Summary

As a Behavior Technician (BT) at Tealway, you will implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy programs directly with clients under the close supervision of a BCBA. This role is essential to our clients’ success and involves teaching new skills, reducing challenging behaviors, and helping families thrive.

Key Responsibilities of a Behavior Technician

  • Communicate effectively to clients, their family members, and other team members

  • Provide 1:1 ABA therapy to clients in home & community settings

  • Implement individualized treatment plans and behavior intervention strategies created by the supervising BCBA

  • Collect and record accurate data on client progress

  • Communicate regularly with supervising BCBA on client needs and progress

  • Follow ethical guidelines and treatment protocols set by the BACB and Tealway

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Clear background check and ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certification

  • Comfortability with navigating electronics (iPad, video calls, apps)

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Passion for working with children and families

  • Reliable transportation to client homes

Preferred:

  • Master's degree or working toward higher degree

  • Experience working with children with autism or developmental delays
