POSITION SUMMARY: Applications are invited for an Assistant Professor of Practice position within the Department of Psychology, beginning in Fall 2026. An Assistant Professor of Practice provides high-quality, on-site undergraduate instruction in psychology, including introductory courses, statistics, research methods, health psychology, and courses aligned with the candidate’s expertise. The position includes a standard teaching load of four courses per semester and two summer courses.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Teach undergraduates on-site in psychology, as well as potentially contribute to general education and other service courses.
  • Assist with the supervision of undergraduates as researchers by helping them design studies and to collect data .
  • Teach and/or oversee coursework in health psychology and other courses in the candidate’s area of expertise, as well as introductory psychology, statistics, and research methods. The normal teaching load is four courses per semester and two summer classes.
  • Support the mission of Moravian University
  • Participate in professional and/or community organizations and societies.
  • Contribute to the institution’s commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive academic community.
  • Actively participate in service to the University through academic advising, committee membership, and/or mentorship of student clubs and organizations.

QUALIFICATIONS: PHD preferred, or will also consider Master's plus ABD or Master's plus at least five years of experience in teaching health psychology.
