Contract Position

Location & Schedule

• Location: Laguna Hills, CA
• Role: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
• Duration: 16-week contract
• Start Date: 01/05/2026
• Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (09:00 - 17:30)
• Weekend Coverage: Possible weekend coverage as needed by the department.
• Floating: Candidates must be willing to float within the hospital based on census.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this role, all candidates must meet the following minimum criteria:

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
• Certification: LCSW required.
• Licensure: Active CA License IN HAND required at the time of submission.
• Documentation: Submission must include Nursys (pulled within 2 weeks) showing NO Nursys hits.
• References: 1 professional reference required (within the last 2 years).
• Time Off: Requested Time Off (RTO) MUST be presented at the time of submission and total 5 days or less.
• Travelers: New Travelers/First Time Travelers are accepted.

Essential Functions & Required Skills

The successful candidate will serve as a critical component of the multidisciplinary team, ensuring continuity of care and appropriate patient discharge planning.

Core Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive Biopsychosocial assessments.
• Develop and implement patient-centered discharge plans.
• Educate patient/caregiver to facilitate discharge and ensure understanding of post-discharge care.
• Address issues of High risk intervention patient vulnerability or safety risk.
• Demonstrate strong Knowledge of Protective services (Adult Protective Services, Child Protective Services, and Guardianship).

Key Skills & Knowledge (Preferred):

• Experience with the Epic charting system.
• Experience handling 5150 / Involuntary holds.
• Knowledge of specialized areas: Suicide/homicide/self-harm, Adoption/Foster Care, Drug/alcohol use and treatment options.
• Ability to provide patient and family education, support, and advocacy.
• Experience working in a Hospital Environment.

Pay: $30.00 - $39.00 per hour

Experience:

• Licensed Clinical Social Worker: 2 years (Required)
• Epic: 1 year (Preferred)
• 5150 / Involuntary holds: 1 year (Preferred)
• Hospital Environment: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (Required)
