Smile Pediatric Therapy & Diagnostics (Smile) is a play-based, pediatric assessment and treatment center that positively makes a difference every day. We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our multidisciplinary team as a BCBA to supervise our Behavior Therapy programs.

The BCBA will work closely with our Behavioral Therapy Leadership team and will be responsible for applying the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) while embedding a play-based, naturalistic, and developmental/child-centered approach to ABA, with a deep understanding of DTT and NET and/or PRT models. Applicants must be willing to learn additional therapeutic and evidence-based skills via the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) and enjoy working within a multidisciplinary team. Desirable candidates must have a strong work ethic, excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work within home, school, and community settings, and have strong written and verbal communication skills. Multilingual is a plus.

DUTIES:

  • Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA)
  • Review and analyze data
  • Write reports
  • Provide parent education and training during the FBA
  • Collaborate with team members
  • Attend Family Team Meetings

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:(please DO NOT apply if you do not meet ALL qualifications as your application will not be considered)

  • BCBA Certification required
  • Master's or Doctoral degree, preferably in special education, applied behavior analysis, or psychology.
  • Completion of coursework in Applied Behavior Analysis at the university level.
  • Extensive implementation experience in behavior treatment planning using applied behavior analysis evidence-based treatments.
  • Excellent written communication.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Two years of professional experience working with children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) utilizing a variety of research-based treatment modalities.
  • If applicable, the employee is required to maintain state licensure and accreditation for the duration of employment with the company. Proof of such must be submitted to the Employer on or before the first date of hire.

SPECIAL DOCUMENTS REQUIRED:

● CPR & First Aid Certified

● Livescan & TB clearance

● Completed Mandated Reporter Training

● Completed Crisis Prevention Training

● Immunization for Pertussis and Measles

● Immunization for Influenza (annual requirement).

● Ability to travel locally across service delivery catchment areas; maintain driving record in compliance with Transportation Safety Standards; maintain current minimum liability auto insurance and vehicle registration.

● Ability to relate well to children, their families, fellow staff members, and maintain positive affect.

● Previous field and administrative experience, with strong commitment to excellence and high standards, clinical, organizational, leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
