Position Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dependable Residential Counselors/Caregivers to support adults in a social rehabilitation residential setting. Individuals served are transitioning toward independent living and may present with serious mental illness (SPMI). This role requires professionalism, emotional resilience, and a strong commitment to patient-centered care.

Candidates must be comfortable working in clients’ homes and providing hands-on support in a behavioral health environment.

Available Shifts

• NOC Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• PM Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
• Weekend availability required (1–2 weekend days)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide daily oversight and support to residents in a residential care setting
• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and day-to-day living needs
• Facilitate or support group activities as assigned
• Promote a safe, supportive, and recovery-focused environment
• Communicate effectively with team members regarding resident status
• Maintain professionalism when working with individuals experiencing depression, suicidal ideation, or other mental health challenges
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and confidentiality requirements

Qualifications

Preferred:

• Minimum of 1 year experience as a caregiver, residential counselor, or mental health worker
• Experience working with mental health, recovery, rehabilitation, or SPMI populations
• Prior residential facility experience strongly preferred

• Valid First Aid & CPR certification
• CPI Training (provided by Telecare if not already certified)

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
