Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

Salary: $90,000–$97,000 annually


Requirements to apply

• Master’s degree in social work, social welfare, psychology, marriage/family/child counseling, or related field

• Active California LCSW license

• Experience in human, social, and/or behavioral health services, especially with homeless or underserved populations

• Experience working on an interdisciplinary team

• Knowledge of trauma-informed care, evidence-based treatments (DBT, CBT, Seeking Safety, Motivational Interviewing), and mental health emergency procedures (5150, CPS/APS reporting, Tarasoff)

• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

Job Overview

We’re seeking a dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker to join a multidisciplinary team serving individuals experiencing homelessness and complex medical, mental health, and psychosocial needs. The ideal candidate is collaborative, trauma-informed, and skilled in addressing chronic disease compliance, depression, anxiety, substance use, and other major mental health disorders. This role focuses on providing assessments, therapy, crisis intervention, care coordination, and patient advocacy while ensuring high-quality, evidence-based, patient-centered care.


Responsibilities

• Provide behavioral health services within a Recuperative Care Center as part of a multidisciplinary team

• Complete functional, strength-based biopsychosocial assessments and diagnostic evaluations

• Develop integrated care plans addressing medical, psychosocial, emotional, and practical needs

• Facilitate therapeutic groups and provide individual, family, and group therapy

• Deliver brief and longer-term evidence-based interventions targeting trauma, mental health symptoms, coping skills, and substance use

• Collaborate with primary care providers to support comprehensive treatment plans

• Participate in weekly multidisciplinary team meetings and case conferences

• Coordinate referrals for specialty mental health and substance use treatment

• Provide crisis intervention, including psychiatric emergencies and urgent consultations

• Support patient advocacy within the organization and community

• Maintain required documentation including assessments, progress notes, care plans, and billing

• Meet productivity expectations of 8–10 patients per day

• Provide after-hours emergency psychiatric assistance when assigned

• Participate in staff education, quality improvement efforts, and professional development

• Complete required data collection and reporting

• Other duties as assigned
