What You’ll Do As a Behavior Technician

You’ll work one-on-one with children using play-based ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) therapy techniques to help them learn and grow. Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting social skills like sharing and cooperative play
  • Encouraging verbal and nonverbal communication through interactive activities
  • Teaching emotional regulation and coping strategies
  • Promoting positive behavior using reinforcement techniques
  • Guiding motor skill development through structured play
  • Enhancing problem-solving and thinking skills
  • Encouraging daily living skills such as self-care and following routines

No ABA experience required—you will receive extensive paid training during a required, in-person two-week program.

Requirements

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Work Availability Monday through Friday (2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.) and possibly Saturdays (9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.)
  • Full Availbility for a 2-week paid training (Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.)
  • Reliable transportation is required for this position. Candidates must be able to provide, upon request, a valid driver’s license, current vehicle registration, and valid auto insurance that includes them as a listed driver on the policy.
  • Comfortable using a personal device for data entry (stipend provided)
  • Physical ability to kneel, run, lift up to 35 lbs, and move quickly as needed
  • Experience with children is a plus (e.g., school, daycare, or after-school programs)
  • Background in Psychology, Child Development, or related fields is a plus
