Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mental health counseling and be skilled in various therapeutic techniques. This role involves working with individuals and families to provide support, advocacy, and resources to enhance their well-being. The Social Worker will engage in case management, conduct assessments, and implement treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of clients.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and diagnostic evaluations for clients.
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions utilizing techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on client needs, including crisis intervention strategies.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Engage in clinical research and data collection to improve service delivery.
- Provide support for children and families, including those experiencing developmental disabilities or PTSD.
- Facilitate access to community resources and services for clients.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training related to social work practices.
Qualifications
- Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
- Valid state licensure as a Social Worker (LCSW or equivalent).
- Experience working with children, families, or individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
- Familiarity with EMR systems for medical documentation and patient records management.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD-9, and ICD-10 coding systems is beneficial.
- Strong skills in crisis management, case management, and behavioral therapy techniques.
- Experience in addiction counseling, geriatrics, pediatrics, or special education is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining client confidentiality.
