We are currently recruiting for a full-time rehabilitation neuropsychologist or rehabilitation psychologist position. Clinical health psychologists may also be appropriate candidates. This position will be primarily staffing our Transitional Living Center, which is a post-acute rehabilitation unit with both residential and day treatment programs primarily serving patients with traumatic brain injury, stroke, and spinal cord injuries, though some hours may also be used in other parts of our continuum of care.
This psychologist’s primary responsibilities will include neuropsychological screening evaluations, capacity assessment, providing education regarding diagnoses and associated sequelae with patients and family members, consultation to referring and treating physicians and the interdisciplinary rehabilitation team, risk assessment, and provision of psychological services to facilitate behavioral management and adjustment to disability. This psychologist will also supervise trainees in our doctoral psychology/neuropsychology practicum training and postdoctoral fellowship and contribute to our didactic training program. A background in cognitive rehabilitation would be very beneficial. This position requires a strong understanding of traumatic brain injury, stroke, general rehabilitation principles, health psychology, and co-occurring psychological disorders.
