About us

A Path Forward provides ABA therapy to autistic children. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for every child in our care.

We take a naturalistic approach to therapy, focusing on gentle evidence-based interventions.

The position requires the following:

Values:

  • A passion for play-based therapy or a willingness to learn
  • Knowledge in trauma-informed care or willingness to learn
  • Neurodiversity-affirming and willingness to receive ongoing education in this area

Responsibilities:
- Implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Collect data on client progress and behavior
- Assist with the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans
- Provide direct one-on-one therapy to individuals with developmental disabilities
- Teach and reinforce appropriate social, communication, and daily living skills
- Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure consistency and progress towards goals
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of client sessions and progress

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or related field preferred
- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and techniques preferred
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain confidentiality of client information preferred
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license

-Lifting/carrying more than 50 lbs. Able to sustain impact to body (i.e., being hit, etc.) in any area. Running, crouching, squatting, and ability to kneel for sustained periods of time. Bending at the waist to touch knees and/or toes. Full range of motion of hands and arms. Sitting on the floor and chair for long periods of time. Ability to move quickly from standing to seated, or kneeling position, without support.
