About Job

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.


A full-time Social Worker is needed for the 2025-2026 school year to support students in a K-12 therapeutic educational program in South Holland, IL. This contract position focuses on providing specialized social work services within a structured environment designed to meet behavioral, emotional, and academic needs.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting a caseload of approximately 39 students in grades 4-7 enrolled in the PACE (Providing Alternatives for Continuing Education) Program
  • Implementing positive behavioral interventions and supports (PBIS) to promote social, emotional, and academic growth
  • Collaborating with staff to maintain an emotionally safe, supportive environment that enhances student self-esteem and academic success
  • Utilizing social skills curricula and behavior management strategies to teach socially appropriate behaviors
  • Coordinating with paraprofessionals and other support personnel provided by the district for supervision and assistance

Required Qualifications:

  • Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Social Work (SSW) endorsement
  • Experience working within school or therapeutic educational settings, preferably with middle-grade students
  • Strong understanding of behavioral intervention techniques and social-emotional learning
  • Ability to engage and collaborate effectively with students, families, and educational teams

Location: South Holland, Illinois (serving one school)

This position offers the opportunity to positively impact diverse students in a therapeutic learning environment focused on success and personal growth. Interviews will be conducted remotely via Zoom with a panel format.
