Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A social worker is needed to support K-6 students in an elementary school setting in Aurora, IL. This contract position covers the current school year and focuses on providing direct support to students with IEPs, 504 plans, and those benefiting from MTSS interventions.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of approximately 40 students requiring social work services
- Deliver individual and group support aligned with IEP and 504 goals
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to implement MTSS strategies
- Provide classroom support during social-emotional learning (SEL) lessons
- Conduct assessments and develop plans to address students social and behavioral needs
- Maintain detailed records and participate in team meetings
Qualifications:
- Experience as a social worker in school settings, preferably with elementary-aged children
- Knowledge of special education processes, including IEP and 504 plans
- Familiarity with Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) delivery and strategies
- Ability to work cooperatively within a multidisciplinary team
- Strong communication and organizational skills
