ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Leads daily activities for assigned Teen REACH program site. Ensures high quality programs and establishes new program activities. Expands program within the community in accordance with strategic and operating plans.
Requests supplies as needed.
Completes daily attendance tracking, as assigned.
Ensures compliance with state and local regulations as they relate to program areas. Ensures that YMCA program standards are met and safety procedures followed.
Participates in site specific monthly safety drills, gathers needed documentation and holds staff accountable for completion.
Facilitates meal and snack distribution and becomes trained by the Northern Illinois Food Bank in food distribution for both the SFSP and CACFP feeding programs.
Maintains proper records/department files.
Assists with special events for parents. Assists in YMCA fund raising activities.
Assists in the marketing and distribution of program information.
Compiles program statistics as assigned.
Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be 18 or older.
Meets educational and experience qualifications as required by state grant.
One to two years related experience preferred, as a coordinator or supervisor of child care programs.
Required trainings within 30 days of hire include completion of: Child Abuse Prevention for Supervisory Staff; CPR; First Aid; AED; Bloodborne Pathogens.
Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
