We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Board-Certified Art Therapist (ATR-BC) to join our growing multidisciplinary team.
Position Summary
The Art Therapist will use art as a form of communication and self-expression to help clients improve cognitive, emotional, and social functioning. The ideal candidate combines clinical knowledge with creative expertise to provide meaningful interventions that promote healing and personal growth.
Responsibilities
- Conduct art therapy assessments and create individualized treatment plans tailored to each client’s needs.
- Facilitate individual and group sessions across home, school, clinic, or community settings.
- Use visual arts to encourage emotional expression, reduce stress, and build coping skills.
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and data in compliance with agency and insurance standards.
- Collaborate with caregivers, educators, and other therapy professionals to ensure cohesive care.
- Uphold the highest ethical and professional standards as defined by the Art Therapy Credentials Board (ATCB).
Qualifications
- Board-Certified Art Therapist (ATR-BC) — required.
- Master/Bachelor’s degree in Art Therapy or related field from an AATA-approved program.
- Experience working with children or individuals with developmental, behavioral, or emotional challenges preferred.
- Excellent communication, empathy, and creative problem-solving skills.
- Level 2 Background Screening and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
