This full-time School Social Worker position supports students from kindergarten through 12th grade within a K-12 school setting. The role requires delivering comprehensive social work services throughout the academic year under a contract arrangement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of K-12 students, providing individual and group support
  • Conduct evaluations to assess student needs and develop intervention plans
  • Perform observations to monitor student behavior and progress
  • Participate actively in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to advocate for students' educational and social-emotional requirements
  • Collaborate during weekly team meetings to coordinate services and strategies

Qualifications:

  • Current Michigan School Social Worker Certification
  • Valid Michigan Social Worker License
  • Experience working with K-12 students in a school environment preferred
  • Strong assessment, observation, and communication skills
