About this Role
We are looking for a self-motivated Master level Mental Health Professional (LPC, LPC-C, LMFT, LMFT-C, LCSW, LCSW-C) in the State of Oklahoma. An applicant must be committed to providing clients with unconditional positive regard as he/she assists them in addressing problematic behaviors, beliefs, and feelings.
What You’ll Do
Clinical Responsibilities and Duties
- Maintain confidentiality of records relating to clients’ treatment
- Prepare and maintain all required treatment record reports
- Collect information about clients through interviews, observation, and/or tests
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical experience knowledge
- Fill out and maintain client-related paperwork, including federal-state mandated forms, client diagnostic records, and progress notes
- Evaluate the effectiveness of counseling programs on clients' progress in resolving identified problems and moving towards defined objectives
- Conduct self in a professional matter; wear business casual attire, begin and end sessions on time, and utilize written and verbal professional communication
Client Care
- Encourage clients to express their feelings, discuss what is happening in their lives, and help them gain insight into themselves or their relationships
- Guide clients in the development of skills or strategies for dealing with their problems
- Counsel clients or patients, individually or in group sessions to assist in overcoming dependencies, adjusting to life, and/or making changes
- Act as client advocates to coordinate required services or to resolve emergency problems in crisis situations
- Monitor clients' use of medications
- Assess clients for risk of suicide attempts
- Perform crisis interventions with clients
- Discuss with individual clients their plans for life after leaving therapy
- Refer patients, clients, or family members to community resources or specialists as necessary
- Counsel family members to assist them in understanding, dealing with, or supporting clients or patients
- Meet with family members, probation officers, police, or other interest parties to exchange necessary information during the treatment process

Required Knowledge and Skills
- Must have passed the Oklahoma State Board Exam
- Must be an Oklahoma resident
- Be willing to work with a diversity of clients such as minority communities, LGBTQ+ communities, and veterans
Pay
- We offer a competitive wage based on experience. Pay starts at $45.00 per hour
