This is a full-time on-site role for a Licensed Professional Counselor located in Tulsa, OK. The Licensed Professional Counselor will be responsible for providing therapeutic services to children aged 3 to 17. Day-to-day tasks include conducting individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing innovative therapy methods such as play therapy and animal-assisted therapy, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with families to ensure comprehensive care. The counselor will also participate in team meetings, maintain accurate client records, and contribute to a supportive and nurturing environment for the children.
- Licensure as a Professional Counselor
- Experience in delivering individual and group therapy sessions for children and adolescents
- Proficiency in innovative therapeutic methods, including play therapy and animal-assisted therapy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop and implement customized treatment plans
- Experience in family coaching to support the child's therapy outside of sessions
- Compassion, patience, and commitment to fostering a nurturing environment
- Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
- Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field
- Experience in a nature-based therapy setting is a plus
