Anderson Health Services is launching mental and behavioral health programs to provide 24/7 emotional support to clients with a history of complex trauma. Everyone is dedicated to offering high quality, culturally sensitive care to adolescents in need of emotional help and support.

The Intake Coordinator at Anderson Health Services is expected to:

  • Must adhere to the agency philosophy and mission statement.
  • Facilitate a culturally sensitive resident admission process.
  • Greet youth and guardian when they arrive for process of admission.
  • Fielding calls and emails from referral sources.
  • Request and collect supporting documentation necessary for placement.
  • Maintain confidentiality of youth records and billing information.
  • Assisting guardians with the admissions paperwork.
  • Ensuring all consents for treatment are completed.
  • Verifying health insurance coverage.
  • Meet regularly with the Treatment Team to maintain communication related to intake and discharges.
  • Continuous outreach to MCO’s and Department of Social Services (DSS)
  • Complete and maintain authorizations for treatment.
  • Other assigned duties

Requirements:

  • Holds a license, provisional license, certificate, registration, or permit issued by the governing board regulating human service profession, preferred
  • A master’s degree in a human service field and has 1 full year of full-time, post graduate degree accumulated experience with the population served; preferred
  • A bachelor’s degree in a human service field and has 2 years of full-time, post-bachelor’s degree accumulated experience with the population served; required
  • A bachelor’s degree in a field other than human services and has 4 years of full-time, post-bachelor’s degree accumulated experience with the population with population served; required
  • Familiarity with clinical documentation (i.e., Comprehensive Clinical Assessment (CCA); Person Centered Plan (PCP))
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • 2-4 years of experience working with youth and families.

Additional Requirements:

Must be 21 years and older and have a valid NC driver's license with a good driving record. Must be able to demonstrate effective self-regulation strategies. Must be coachable and willing to learn. All potential job candidates must pass a drug screening and background check.
