About Job

A Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) provides direct one-on-one behavioral interventions to teach and increase the child's communication skills, social skills, and daily living skills as well as reducing problematic behaviors in home, community, and school settings.

Training available for those interested in pursuing a career in ABA as an RBT!

Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience in patient care and behavioral health
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation
  • Familiarity with applied behavior analysis and behavioral therapy
  • Ability to assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
  • Experience working with children, particularly those with developmental disabilities and autism
  • Skills in data collection and behavior management
  • Background in special education is a plus

Summary

As a Behavior Technician/RBT, you will be instrumental in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly in school and home settings. This role requires a strong foundation in patient care, behavioral health, and medical documentation, while also emphasizing your ability to implement behavioral therapy and data collection techniques. You will collaborate with educators and families to create effective care plans and manage behaviors, ensuring a positive impact on the lives of children with autism and other special needs. Your communication skills and commitment to HIPAA compliance will be essential in fostering a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support to children with developmental disabilities in school and home settings.
  • Implement and monitor individualized care plans and behavioral interventions.
  • Collect and document data on patient progress and behavior.
  • Assist with daily living activities (ADLs) as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain accurate medical records.
  • Collaborate with educators and families to promote effective communication and behavioral health strategies.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
