Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Psychologist to join our team in a Correctional Facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality mental health care to individuals across various age groups, including children, adolescents, and adults. This role involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and implementing therapeutic interventions to support patients in overcoming psychological challenges. The Clinical Psychologist will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Duties
- Conduct psychological assessments and diagnostic evaluations for patients.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and evidence-based practices.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions utilizing modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychotherapy, and crisis intervention techniques.
- Offer specialized care for populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, individuals with autism, and those struggling with addiction.
- Supervise and mentor interns or junior staff as needed.
- Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Engage in research activities to contribute to the field of psychology and improve clinical practices.
- Participate in intake processes and psychological testing as required.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Provide telehealth services as appropriate to meet patient needs.
Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from an accredited institution.
- Valid state licensure to practice psychology.
- Experience in child & family counseling, crisis intervention, and mental health counseling is preferred.
- Familiarity with behavioral health issues, including PTSD care, working with people with disabilities, and social work principles.
- Previous hospital experience is a plus; experience in school settings is also beneficial.
- Strong skills in patient assessment, intake procedures, and diagnostic evaluation.
- Proficiency in individual/group counseling techniques and group therapy facilitation.
- Knowledge of medical records management and compliance with HIPAA standards.
