Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality mental health services to individuals and families, focusing on a variety of issues including behavioral health, crisis intervention, and support for those with developmental disabilities. The LCSW will work collaboratively with clients to assess their needs, develop treatment plans, and implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide psychotherapy and counseling services using techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and motivational interviewing.
- Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, focusing on topics such as addiction counseling, PTSD care, and crisis management.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care for patients in hospital settings or community-based environments.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure proper coding using ICD-9 and ICD-10 standards.
- Engage in clinical research and data collection to contribute to the advancement of best practices in social work.
- Offer support for children and families through child & family counseling, home & community care experience, and special education resources.
- Provide case management services to assist clients in accessing necessary resources and support systems.
- Stay informed about current trends in behavioral health, geriatrics, psychopharmacology, and patient care.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution; active LCSW license required.
- Proven experience in mental health counseling, including working with children, individuals with autism, and those with developmental disabilities.
- Familiarity with EMR systems for efficient medical record management.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and documentation practices.
- Experience in crisis intervention strategies and managing complex patient cases.
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis techniques is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
