Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker Assistant to join our team. This role involves working with diverse populations to provide support, guidance, and resources to individuals and families in need. The Social Worker Assistant will provide support in the social services department under the supervision of the Social Worker and the direction of the Program Director.

Duties

• The Social Work Assistant will provide support and services to participants under the supervision of a social worker.
• Assist Participants to identify and access community resources, complete paperwork, and follow treatment plans.
• Key duties include connecting clients with benefits like food or Medicaid, assisting with daily living activities, and performing administrative tasks such as record-keeping and scheduling.
• The role requires strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills to effectively support participants and work within a team environment in a community center environment.
• Conduct assessments to identify client needs and develop appropriate intervention plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, progress notes, and case plans.

Qualifications

• A BA degree in Social Work or a related field is required.
• Preferred Bilingual in Spanish and English.
• Previous experience working with adults and/or geriatric settings is advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of community resources related to workforce development is beneficial.
