Seeking a Long-Term Substitute School Social Worker to provide counseling, crisis intervention, and family support for PreK–8 students. This position ensures continuity of services while a permanent social worker is out, supporting students’ social-emotional and academic success in alignment with District 105’s mission of empowering lifelong learners.

Responsibilities:

• Provide short-term counseling and social-emotional support to students.
• Respond to crises, conduct risk assessments, and provide follow-up support.
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and administrators to implement behavior interventions and strategies.
• Participate in IEP and MTSS/RTI processes as appropriate.
• Maintain records and documentation of services delivered.
• Communicate with families and connect them to appropriate community resources.
• Support a safe, inclusive school climate in line with District 105’s core values.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW).
• Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Work endorsement.
• Knowledge of child development, trauma-informed practices, and crisis intervention.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse school community.
• Preferred LSW or LCSW credential.
• Familiarity with MTSS and restorative practices.
• Spanish/English bilingual ability.
