Job Description for Redeploy Illinois Counselor

This is a full-time position to provide home and community-based services to boys and girls, 13 years of age and above, and their families.

EDUCATION:

Minimum of a Master’s Degree in a human services-related field or Bachelor’s degree seeking a Masters.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of two (2) years’ experience working with children/adolescents. Familiarity with behavior issues, the juvenile justice system, wraparound services, and community systems.

SKILLS:

Excellent communication and organizational skills, Ability to work with a team to engage teen boys and girls in modifying their behaviors while enhancing their strengths.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Receive referrals from Boone & Winnebago County Juvenile Probation. Assure assessments, case notes, and quarterly reports are completed in accordance with policy.

2. Provide individual, family, and group counseling, recreation, and life skills training.

3. Provide linkage of clients and families to community services.

4. Participate in local and statewide Redeploy meetings.

5. Participate in trainings, conferences, and workshops to enhance skills necessary for the position.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year
