A K-12 school in Jamaica, NY is seeking two School Psychologists to provide maternity leave coverage starting in January. These contract positions offer an opportunity to support students academic, social, and emotional development during an 8 to 12-week assignment.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for students K-12
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to develop and implement intervention plans
  • Provide counseling and support services to address behavioral and emotional needs
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and recommendations
  • Maintain thorough and confidential documentation in compliance with school policies and legal requirements

Qualifications:

  • Valid School Psychologist certification or license
  • Experience working in K-12 school settings preferred
  • Strong understanding of assessment tools, intervention strategies, and special education laws
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly for short-term contract assignments

Location: Jamaica, NY (on-site)
