A full-time Social Worker position is available for the 2025/2026 school year in a K-12 setting located in Michigan. This role focuses on providing vital social-emotional and behavioral support to students, ensuring their well-being and academic success through collaboration and intervention.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver social-emotional and behavioral support tailored to student needs
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and families to foster a supportive environment
- Participate in Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), develop targeted intervention plans, and maintain accurate documentation
- Support the implementation of Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) and monitor student progress to adjust interventions as necessary
Qualifications:
- Valid Michigan School Social Worker license with a 310 endorsement
- Masters degree in Social Work from an accredited institution
- Completion of a state-approved School Social Worker program
- Registration with the Michigan Department of Education and licensure by the Michigan Board of Social Work
- Familiarity with special education law, IEP procedures, and behavioral intervention strategies
- Prior experience working in a school environment is preferred but not required
