Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Social Worker position is available in a K-12 school setting in Grand Rapids, MI, covering maternity leave for the upcoming semester from January 2026 through May 2026. This contract role involves standard social work duties focused on supporting students social, emotional, and behavioral needs within the school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct social work services to students, including counseling, crisis intervention, and case management
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement individualized support plans
• Conduct assessments to identify student needs and connect them with community resources
• Facilitate group sessions and support student well-being initiatives
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with school and regulatory standards

Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution
• Licensure as a Social Worker in the state of Michigan, or eligibility for licensure
• Experience working with children and adolescents in educational or community settings
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
