Denton, Texas | Employment Type: Full-Time | Local W-2 or Travel Contract | Pay Range: $45$58+/hour (based on experience and contract type)

Blazer Jobs is seeking a dedicated and licensed School Psychologist to join one of our trusted school district partners in Denton, TX. This full-time position is open to both local candidates seeking a consistent school-year placement and travel professionals looking for flexible, well-compensated assignments.

About the Role:
As a School Psychologist, youll support K12 students through comprehensive psycho-educational assessments, IEP development, and direct counseling services. Your expertise will help address academic, social-emotional, and behavioral needs while working alongside educators, specialists, and families.

Choose Your Employment Track:

  • Local (W-2 Employment):

  • Full school-year commitment (AugustMay)

  • Hourly rate: $45$52/hour (based on experience)

  • Weekly direct deposit

  • Full benefits: health, dental, and vision insurance

  • Travel (W-2 with Perks or 1099 Contractor):

  • Flexible contracts: 412 weeks or semester-based

  • Hourly rate: $52$58+ (based on licensure, experience, and travel status)

  • Weekly gross: $1,700$2,000+ (includes tax-free stipends, if eligible)

  • Housing and per diem included

  • Reimbursements for travel expenses

    Key Duties:

  • Conduct psycho-educational evaluations and participate in eligibility meetings

  • Provide both individual and group counseling

  • Develop and manage IEPs aligned with Texas and Denton ISD standards

  • Work closely with teachers, special education staff, and families

  • Maintain documentation and compliance per state and district requirements

    Qualifications:

  • Masters or Specialist degree in School Psychology

  • Active Texas School Psychologist license (or eligibility)

  • Prior school-based experience is a strong plus

  • Must pass background and fingerprinting requirements
