• Gross Weekly Pay: $1,512
• Non-Taxable Stipend: $900/week
• Hourly W2 Rate: $17/hr
• Schedule: Day/Evening/Night Rotating Shifts, Weekends, Holidays, On-Call, and Call Back per unit needs

Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Psychiatric Technician to join our team in Rochester, NY. This role involves direct patient care and clinical support services for in-patient psychiatric patients. As part of an interdisciplinary team, the Psych Tech works closely under the direction of Registered Nurses to support patient well-being and recovery.

Responsibilities include:

• Provide direct care to patients in a psychiatric inpatient setting
• Assist patients with daily living activities and psychiatric rehabilitation
• Engage patients in therapeutic activities and participate in group therapy
• Monitor and report changes in patient behavior or condition to RN
• Support a safe and therapeutic environment
• Participate in daily rounds and clinical team discussions

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of recent psychiatric tech or mental health tech experience
• BLS Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Associate’s Degree (AAS) in Psychology or Sociology required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work rotating shifts and adapt to unit needs including weekends and holidays
