Job Title: Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) – Hospital Setting (Day Shift)

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Duration: 13-Week Contract
Pay Rate: $50/hr – $60/hr

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) to join a reputable hospital in New York City for a 13-week contract assignment. The LMSW will work closely with medical-surgical teams to provide psychosocial support and discharge planning for patients and families, ensuring continuity of care and adherence to hospital policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop care plans for patients on medical-surgical units
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, and case managers
• Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and families
• Facilitate discharge planning, including referrals to community resources and post-acute care services
• Ensure compliance with hospital regulations and patient rights
• Document interventions and maintain accurate case notes

Requirements:

• Active LMSW License in the state of New York (NY) – Required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute care hospital setting
• Experience working with medical-surgical (med-surg) patient populations
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

• Compensation: $50/hr – $60/hr (based on experience)
