A School Social Worker is needed for the 2025-2026 school year to support K-12 students in Hartford, CT. This contract position offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic school environment, providing essential social and emotional services to help students succeed academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and address students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to create supportive plans
  • Provide individual and group counseling to students
  • Connect families with community resources and support services
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to intervention strategies
  • Maintain accurate case records in compliance with district and legal requirements

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree in social work (Masters preferred)
  • Licensed or eligible for school social work certification
  • Experience working with K-12 student populations in school settings
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Knowledge of community resources and mental health services
