Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.


A school-based social worker position is available to support students in a PreK through 3rd-grade elementary building. This full-time, onsite role requires a licensed social worker with a Professional Educator License (PEL) to provide critical social and emotional services to young learners in a dynamic educational environment. The position is based in the Harvard, IL area and is offered as a contract assignment for the school year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to identify students social, emotional, and behavioral needs
  • Develop and implement intervention plans to support student well-being and academic success
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to address student challenges
  • Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions
  • Connect families with community resources and services as needed
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district policies and state regulations

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Social Worker license in Illinois
  • Professional Educator License (PEL)
  • Experience working with elementary-aged children, preferably PreK to 3rd grade
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish is preferred but not mandatory
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work effectively in an onsite school setting
