Supervisor: Staff Development Director
Salary DOE: $20.00-$22.00
$2.00/hr. shift differential for hours worked between 8:00 pm – 8:00 am
FSLA Status: Non-Exempt, Full-time Regular
Hours: *Schedules may vary*
AM Shift 8:00 am – 8:00 pm
PM Shift 8:00 pm – 8:00 am
Rotating shifts 3 days on / 2 days off

Position Overview: The Residential Aide / Stabilization Technician supports both residential and stabilization programs, with shifts split between the Residential Treatment houses and the Refine Crisis Stabilization Center. Reporting to the Staff Development Director and Residential Supervisor, this role ensures the safety, well-being, and recovery of clients in both environments. Key responsibilities include direct client supervision, patient observation, crisis intervention, operational support, and coordination of care. The role emphasizes trauma-informed, person-centered care to help clients stabilize and progress toward recovery across both settings.

Reporting to the Clinical Director and Residential Supervisor, this role ensures the safety, well-being, and recovery of clients in a structured residential environment and stabilization unit. Key responsibilities include direct client supervision, patient observation, crisis intervention, operational support, and coordination of care. The role emphasizes trauma-informed, person-centered care to help clients stabilize and progress toward recovery.
Primary Responsibilities:
Patient Care:
- Provide sight and sound observation based on each client’s treatment plan and level of
care.
- Monitor vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and blood alcohol levels.
- Deliver crisis intervention and de-escalation services to stabilize patients.
- Assist with intakes, admissions, treatment plans, discharges, and transfers.
- Support clients in their daily routines, including hygiene, grooming, and nutritional cues
as needed.
- Observe medication administration and ensure proper documentation.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, community providers, and first responders for coordinated care.
- Identify safety concerns (e.g., suicidal ideation) and address trauma-related diagnoses.
- Provide transportation for clients to appointments or outings.
Behavioral Health Rehabilitation Services
Operational Tasks:
- Ensure facility cleanliness and adherence to sanitation policies.
- Complete and maintain accurate documentation (intakes, treatment plans, shift logs,
incident reports).
- Conduct random urinalysis and BAC tests, following agency procedures.
- Model appropriate behavior and foster a positive environment.
- Participate in shift changes and collaborate with team members to ensure smooth
operations.
- Enforce program rules and ensure compliance with agency regulations, including 42 CFR Part 2 and HIPAA.
- Assist with facility inspections and address any maintenance needs.
- Monitor inventory, including first aid supplies and fire equipment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field (Sociology, Psychology, Human Services) preferred.
- Eligible to become a Qualified Addiction Professional (QAP) and obtain Counselor Tech (CT) or CDCI within one year.
- CNA certification is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Strong emotional intelligence, professional demeanor, and communication skills.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to work within both harm reduction and abstinence models.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Ability to climb stairs, stoop, kneel, and lift up to 35 pounds.
- Exposure to various elements (heat, cold, noise).
Skills:
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage stress and work independently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office or related software.
- Ability to think strategically and follow through on tasks.
