Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Counselor to provide therapeutic support within our OTP Program. This role is vital to ensuring clients receive trauma-informed, evidence-based care in a supportive environment. The Counselor will work closely with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to help guide individuals toward sustained recovery.
️ Key Responsibilities
As a Counselor in our OTP Program, you will:
Provide Counseling Services: Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions to clients in recovery.
Conduct Assessments: Complete intake assessments, diagnostic summaries, treatment planning, and ongoing clinical reviews.
Document with Accuracy: Maintain timely, complete, and compliant records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.
Coordinate Care: Collaborate with treatment team members, physicians, and external providers to ensure continuity of care.
Support Client Success: Offer crisis intervention, case management, client education, and referral services as needed.
Promote Trauma-Informed Care: Consistently integrate trauma-informed principles into client interactions.
Maintain Professional Growth: Stay current with best practices through ongoing training and professional development.
✅ Required Qualifications
Active Ohio LCDC II or LCDC III license (required).
Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Knowledge of substance use treatment practices and community resources.
Preferred Qualifications
CPR/First Aid/AED certification.
Crisis Prevention/De-escalation training.
Experience in behavioral health or substance use treatment settings.
