The Patient Care Coordinator serves as a vital liaison between patients, healthcare providers, and administrative staff. This role ensures seamless communication, efficient scheduling, billing, and compassionate support throughout the patient care journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient appointments, referrals, and follow-up care
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, including insurance and billing information
- Assist with insurance pre-authorizations and verify coverage for services
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards
- Monitor patient satisfaction and address concerns promptly
- Facilitate smooth transitions between providers or departments
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in medical terminology and electronic health records (EHR)
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail and confidentiality
- Empathy and professionalism in patient interactions
- Familiarity with insurance processes and healthcare regulations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a healthcare or behavioral health setting
- High School Diploma
Schedule:
- Full-time position 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday
- No weekends
